What a rush! It's lovely to see the brand new president of the United States, Mr Barack Obama elected. He will take office as the forty-fourth President in January 2009 and of course, as everyone surely knows, he is the first African American to be elected. It seems that change is REALLY going to come at last. I don't envy the work he's got ahead of him though - everyone is expecting MUCH from you Mr Obama (no pressure) ...

Yes, I agree. It' great. He's GOT to be better than Bush - he couldn't possibly be any worse - maybe we can look forward to some better times. Lately it looks like our economy is going down the pan fast so maybe with Obama in the big chair some of the good luck and good times our American cousins hopefully have ahead might filter across the pond to us. Here's hoping ..
