It's a game of two halves, as Spurs wait for second half spark to see off Burnley - view from the stands
It was a freezing night at White Hot Lane, says WeLoveCamden reader and Spurs fan, Mark Sumray.
Good to see the return of one of the Lane's favourites, it's not often that a club will buy a player based on the will of the supporters!
No, seriously, Harry wanted him, Jermain Defoe never wanted to leave the club in the first place and despite the uplift in price, we are now not owed money by a club looking administration in the face.
The cold weather could not dampen the rousing cheers of the home fans as Defoe stepped out on to the pitch to signal his return.
Moments later and kick off into the freezing temperature saw a fired up Burnley rip through the Premier League team.
It looked like all the damage was being created on the left flank by pacey Chris Eagles and it was his quick feet that got him past David Bentley and Gareth Bale to set up Martin Paterson for the opener.
1-0 to the visitors, we looked like the team from the lower division and just managed to hold on until half time.
Besides his lambasting team talk, Harry had spotted that Spurs were too weak on the left and stomach bug victim David Bentley was substituted for the tenacious Jamie O' Hara.
His first task was to take a corner and Michael Dawson rose like a salmon to deliver a thumping header, moments later, a flick on from Luka Modric was met on the volley by O' Hara, 2-1 to the Spurs.
The heads of the Burnley players then dropped as some good skill from Roman Pavlyuchenko and a rocket left foot drive went past Brian Jensen and Jamie O' Hara once more had a hand in the last goal as his fiercely driven cross was deflected by Michael Duff for an own goal and what looks like the end of Burnley's' cup run.
The game is still to be decided by the return match, but it looks all over for the Championship side who had already knocked out Arsenal, Chelsea and Fulham.

Well done Daniel Levy! Sell Defoe to Portsmouth for £8m a year ago, then buy him back for nearly double what they sold him for! What a great piece of business.
I think that's a belated Christmas present to Sasha Gaydamak from Harry Redknapp!
Defoe isn't the sort of player I'd want at my club. He's shown no loyalty wherever he's been.
Defoe's career to date...
Left Charlton for West Ham for free before signing a pro contract after Charlton had nurtured him since school.
Puts in a transfer request at West Ham the very next day after they're relegated!
Get himself sent off THREE TIMES when West Ham are in the Championship while he's waiting for a club to come in for him.
Cries off sick saying he has flu when Pompey play Bristol City in the FA Cup.
That's £15million well spent. Portsmouth must be laughing all the way to the bank.
Once again Spurs must console themselves with the lidl cup or whatever it's called these days.
They've had to settle for Pavlyuchenko when they were in for Arshavin and now he's on his way to the Emirates.
You're still light years away from us!!!

>A typical gooner with no understanding of business.
Portsmouth owed us £££££££. and they are about to go bankrupt!
In essence we have given them Younes kaboul, in return for looking
after our player and giving him back to us with a 5 year contract.
Our mistake was Kaboul not Defoe!
Any way the type of player that Gooner4life would like is
A) not going to be purchased by Wenger,
B) not going to be purchased by arsenal, they haven't got any money!,( their stadium and property development at the wrong time are going seriously wrong, un-audited debits continue to add up etc.)
C) by the time they are out of the CL they will be sitting pretty in
5th place and looking at mid table at best this year.
D) not going to join them because the board will not sanction a
purchase over £10. and anyone worth having would probably want to play in Europe next year.
We might be light years away but are standing on financially sound ground.
